BEACHVOLLEY COMPETITION

Due to the high temperatures, the matches will be played in 1 set to 21 points (with a 2-point difference).
 

Important information:

-Balls will only be provided to participants if they provide an ID. If the ball is lost, a €100 fee will be charged.

-The playing fields will be available starting Wednesday at 4:00 PM for participating teams without prior reservation; if there are free fields, they can be used.

REGULATIONS

Game Model


A team consists of 2 players (and a maximum of 1 player as substitute).

The substitute player may not participate while a set is being played, the team must decide which player is excluded in the draw (in case of injury the team may request a change of player, but the player who leaves may not play again in that set or match)

 

Matches


1. The tournament will be conducted under the ABC Pool/CUP system to equalize the differences in level between the participating teams.
2. Teams are ranked in each group by points, so that the team with the most points is no. 1 and the next best team is no. 2.etc.
– If two teams are tied, the matches they have played together will decide the outcome.
– If the teams are still tied, the team with the greater difference in sets and then in points will be the winner.

Time to play


1. Matches will be played in 1 set to 21 points with a 2-point difference (FIVB rules)

Rest between sets – max. 3 minutes.

Height of nets


The following net heights shall apply:
– Male 2.43 meters
– Female 2.24 m
– Mixed 2.35m

Standards


1. Unless otherwise specified, the rules of the International Beach Volleyball Federation (FIVB) apply.
2. The referee must apply international rules.
3. Detailed rules of the game are published in the tournament program.
